Running since 1979, the Rencontres Trans Musicales is France's storied talent-spotting festival, with a 48th edition dedicated almost entirely to artists on the rise. Vast hangar stages at the Parc Expo host all-night discovery marathons while daytime shows spill into the Breton city's clubs and theatres. Nirvana, Björk and Stromae all played here before breaking big.
