One of Germany's oldest and best-known Christmas markets, opened each year by the Christkind from the balcony of the Frauenkirche. Rows of red-and-white striped stalls in the old town sell Nuremberg gingerbread, bratwurst, mulled wine and handmade ornaments. The market runs daily through Advent until Christmas Eve.
